My bff 🐶 and I moved to South Lake Tahoe 2 years ago from Scottsdale, AZ. Up until two months ago, we were avid daily Tahoe adventurers. On 2/22,2024, the day after Koda’s 5th birthday, Koda suffered a spinal stroke (FCE) and suddenly went paralyzed from the neck down. He still does not walk and incontinent but he is on the mend! He can now roll over and take steps in the underwater treadmill. Koda is a sweet silly lab who mostly lays around right now but he does have anxiety that we are managing. (He’s determined to walk and gets frustrated!) His bladder also needs to be expressed 3 times per day. Caring for him has its ups and downs but is very rewarding!
